Privacy Training Webinar (Privacy Officers & Managers)
This webinar provides intensive privacy training on requirements regarding the handling of personal information under the Commonwealth Privacy Act's Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The course, which is intended for employees at "manager" level requiring a comprehensive knowledge of privacy obligations, equips participants with a detailed understanding of:
• legal requirements regarding managing personal information under the APPs;
Attendees receive a bound Participant Handbook which contains course materials and provides a privacy reference handbook for future use. Course content is updated annually to remain up-to-date with the latest privacy developments, cases and Commissioner guidelines.
The course is held across 2 x 3 hr webinars (6 hrs total) on consecutive days.

Who should attend?
Senior staff responsible for managing privacy, such as Privacy Officers, Chief Information Officers, privacy managers, records managers and risk managers.
Jeremy Douglas-Stewart has been recognised as a leading privacy lawyer in Australia and corporate privacy training facilitator. Jeremy has extensive experience in advising businesses and government on privacy laws and data management practices, is author of an Australian privacy law loose-leaf reporting service and has over 20 years’ experience in delivering privacy training seminars. Jeremy was a member of the Privacy Commissioner's Consultative Group during the review of the Privacy Act in 2004/5 and of the Australian Law Reform Commission's Privacy Principles Roundtable in 2007.
Held in Zoom. Attendees view the presenter and screen presentations. Attendees are able to communicate with the presenter by voice or chat box throughout the webinar to raise and discuss issues. Attendees do not appear on-screen. Places are limited to ensure optimal class sizes for learning and interaction.
