Civil Procedure Northern Territory
General Editor: Michael Grant, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory
This publication provides comprehensive coverage of civil procedure law and practice in the Northern Territory, containing annotated rules, statutes and regulations, as well as forms, practice directions and costs schedules, relevant to proceedings in the Supreme Court, Local Court, Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Work Health Court.
The service's extensive annotations, which cite primarily NT authorities, contain statements of principle, commentary on the scope and operation of provisions and case summaries. The annotations cover decisions from the NT Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Local Court, Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Work Health Court, as well as key decisions of superior courts from other jurisdictions, including the High Court and Supreme Court of Victoria.
A "Miscellaneous Civil Procedure Law" chapter at the end of the service contains commentary on matters relating to procedural law arising from sources other than rules, statutes, regulations and practice directions.
The service is updated three times per year. Each update is accompanied by a Civil Procedure NT Bulletin providing detailed commentary on case law developments.
