This service provides a detailed guide to planning law in South Australia. It contains fully annotated versions of the Development Act 1993 (SA) and Development Regulations 2008 (SA), as well as a "Planning Law Case Notes" section which provides a topical guide to an extensive range of planning law issues and principles. A "Legislation Monitor" section keeps subscribers up to date with pending and recent developments in the law. The service also contains a "Planning Law Dictionary" providing annotations to undefined terms that have been interpreted in case law.

Annotations include notes and summaries of cases from the SA Environment, Resources and Development Court and SA Supreme Court, as well as key decisions of the High Court and other State environment and planning courts and tribunals.  

Annotations include "Overviews" explaining the operation of key provisions and "Related materials" boxes cross-referencing relevant provisions and materials throughout the work. Legislative history tables track changes to statutory provisions. 

The publication contains a detailed index and is updated three times per year.

The work was previously published by UniSA under the name SA Annotated Development Act. The service was acquired by Presidian in 2007, following which it was revised, updated, re-formatted and re-indexed. The scope of the work was also expanded and the service re-released as Planning Law SA.
